Can anyone outline the QB's footwork on outside veer? How is it different from IV?

get your qb to get 1 foot depth on the way to the mesh point or tell him to open up at 4 oclock to ensure this happens... the issue with o/v is penetration can disrupt the path of the qb so he needs to get a little depth (this will also help him run downhill if he pulls)

I've run outside belly from it, the steps (I would imagine) would be similar, I had my FB open step cross over then square to the hole

we run it and just tighten our OL splits down a bit, same aim point, same steps.

On the outside veer steps our qb will take the same steps as ISV. The FB will hit the ISV path and then bow his path around the 4 tech. or the double team. This keeps us from having too many adjustments for OSV.

Our qb steps to 4 o'clock heads straight down the line to the mesh point. we widen the fb's path to the inside leg of the tackle as opposed to the inside leg of the guard as in isv.
