Curious as to how others would attack a 6-2 type look. I ask because a lot of 4-4 teams walked up the OSLB against us to take away Jet and Rocket.

This is the 6-2 look that we would get. We go with a TE because he could block a lot better than our wings.

Coach On IV we would load the plsd LB with the TE/Slot and read the skybox with the plsd SE. We really like to run OV and Speed option (dbl 5 and read the DE) vs a base 6-2. We also think our unblanced formations gives them problems. They have to adjust out of the base 6-2 or be outflanked to the heavy side.

coach when you say "read the skybox" what does that mean I am not familiar with that term.
we would run the IV to the TE/WING but we would load #2 (DE) with the wing and pitch of the corner. I feel that it gives more time to get two on one at the edge.
OV we would do the same as Coachveer.

Hey Rebel- To us Push Cracking and Skybox are very similar blocking schemes. Skybox gives the SE the option to come off a bail tech. Corner and pick up a saftey that is running the alley.
Push Crack- Push the Corner crack the Saftey. (automatic) Skybox-Push the Corner and eye the Saftey. Take the first one that shows. (choice).
We like to work the Skybox on all IV with Load schemes, OV, Dbl options, and most non-option runs.

If I was calling O vs. tribepride's diagram I would run IV to SE side. PST goes gap, down, BSLB, SB blocks out on CB and SE cracks on the LB. QB needs to be ready for a quick pitch.

Also against tribepride's diagram I would look to throw to the SE on hitches or slants, or even just throwing the uncovered principle with a run called to the TE side. Uncovered simply means that if we had IV right called and the CB gave the SE more than a 7 yard cushion the SE will give his #'s to the QB and the QB will throw w/ just one step to the SE. No calls no signals just a well coached read.
