Hey Kr, We just took our IV reads and schemes and installed them on the bksd side of read for zone, trap, counter, and power. Our QB reads for give/pitch, the bksd HB blocking(count), and SE blocking rules all stayed the same. If we wanted any kind of pitch-phase motion for the bksd we just used the same frontside tag and added "op" to it. If we were running IV we would give it a "orbit" tag. If we want the other HB to go into orbit for zone read we just gave it an "op orbit" tag. Over the spring we found out real quick that the Slots had to make you/me motion call coming out of the huddle.

Great post- Tell me more about backside read on trap play - formation 2x2? backside tackle block - zone step to 2nd level? Read the 5 tech what do you look for? QB pulls what do you tell him? What if they start playing games with the Will?

coachveer,
Do you use an inside zone an outside zone or both for your Zone Read? Which do you prefer? Do you also run the IV out of the gun?

We ran IZ, Trap, Counter GT with bksd zone reads. We are a under center offense by nature. We didn't want to add anything new.
