In the late 80's early 90's Triple Option teams began to Zone Block the Triple instead of Veer Blocking! Such as: vs. a 50 Defense PS End (Split or Tight) Block the Deep Outside 1/3 defender PST and PSG: Zone a 4 or 4I to PSLBer, if a 5 tech. PST and PSG Base Block. C and BSG: Scoop the Nose to BSLBer BST: Base the 4,4I or 5 tech.
QB: Hand-Off Key--Read the DE or 6/9 Tech. (As you can see the Hand-Off Key is like Outside Veer, but without TE) Pitch Key is secondary support PSHB: Wall the PSLBer from getting into the perimeter BSHB: Pitch
