What do you have your tb do on the iv, swing out and wait for the pitch, drop step and get in pitchphase, . On midline if not goint thru to block, do you drop step or swing out and fake veer, or run for the fold player to keep him thinking pitch

Most folks will work the TB right into a 5x1 pitchphase. Now when you run triple option the mesh gives the TB time to get into pitchphase. However on dbl options like speed/load/zone. They reverse the QB out in order to give the TB time to get into proper pitchphase.

panther,
Just to piggy-back what caochveer mentioned, we teach the TB to take a crossover step first. That way, on counters, he can crossover, then plant and run the counter.
Just our way.

Some teams will not reverse the QB out when running dbl options to the SE side. Because of the shorter edge they are concerned with him getting hit in the mouth to soon.

Coach- When we run out of the I and "Fold" the TE to the Mike. We will automatically "wham or blast" the TB through B gap and kick out the Sam.
