What do you guys think about running an Iso play with the TB in the I formation where he follows the FB on the ISO play up the middle. Run it to the 3 Tech side. PSG kicks the 3 out, the Center kicks the BS shade or 1 Tech out, the BSG folds behind the Center looking for the BSLB, and the FB blocks the PSLB (if he doesn't fill thengo to the FS). Just a thought and decided to throw it out.

We used to run the iso like this against teams that would give us 1s and 3s. We did not fold the BSG around the C...he was always stepping on our QBs foot. Our aiming point for the FB was the butt of the QB.
We ran the midline out of the I, and this was a nice change-up for us. We did not reverse out with the QB, but would step back and open like on midline.

math, would you fake to the FB first also? We run a blast where we read the 3 tech for the Midline. if it is a pull the QB hands to the RB instead of replacing the read himself.

No. We would not fake to the FB.
The play you are describing sounds like the old read belly play...give to either the FB or TB. We tried to run a read belly, but it was stealing valuable time from other things.
Still, a GREAT play.

Thats exactly what it is. We haven't used it much but every now and then.

Midline ISO is also good vs. SPLIT. Especially it the 3 techs are big boys. We did it one year vs. a much stronger team to win the league championship.

In high school we ran a 22/21 iso (right between g and c).
