We run the 3-3 and you can get us out of the stack if you go into trips. If the stack doesn't slide to the trips side then you have an easy crack block on the stacked OLB. If you can run ISV & OSV you can give the 3-3 fits at times if you can get that stacked OLB blocked.

what happens to a 3-3 if you go unbalanced to the SE side. will they move the nose over to the guard and open up Midline?

Is this the formation you are referring too? These are a couple of adjustments I could see a 3-3 making to this heavy set.

yes that is the formation I am talking about. What would you run vs. those defensive alignments?

Top formation: We would stay away from midline. I like ISV veer to the heavy side. If we ran OSV, that would also be a nut buster to the heavy side. Speed options would also be great to the heavy side. If your OT could handle the DT you could run OSV weak. ISV would also work but you wouldn't get a double team.
Bottom formation: We would run Zone dive. ISV weak and heavy. OSV to the heavy side.

We run the 33 stack on D and played against it 4 times this season. all of these teams kept their inside 6 stacked. In one game we went almost exclusivly to trips open. They brought the backside saftey over to the trips side and we ran wild with the IV away from trips. If the will showed outside we pitched off of him if he went inside our Tackle blocked him and there wasn't a pitch read until the free showed up. We ran the IV to the trips side enough to keep them guessing.

We just can't let them stay in the stack and give our QB a bunch of different reads. So we kinda of start out with these 3 goals. 1-Give them a heavy dose of unbalanced stuff and try to force them out of the stack. 2-Give them some dbl tight stuff and see if they adjust. 3-Out of our balanced formations we are going to ID who's got QB and block him ASAP. Most of the time that means we are doing a lot of loading/cracking or both out of those formations.
