Option Drills E-book: presented by the Option Forum
Coaches- I am asking if any board members would like to help me undertake an idea for an E-book of Option Specific drills. I asking for any and all to contribute any drills in writing in any format. Word, PDF, PowerPoint, etc. I would like to make it as comprehensive as possible. I would then compile the drills in a format that could be agreed upon by us. I am thinking of PDF...but could also do word. I would even considerer PowerPoint if we could get enough of the drills in the PowerPoint format. Then after the book is compiled we could distribute it to Board members.
Ideas I would like to cover:
Individual position drills. (RB, OL, WR, QB) Small group instruction I.E. 2 on 2, 3 on 3, half line, large group instruction. I.E. inside run, perimeter run, 7 on 7, Team drill IE formats for conducting team.
I know you may be thinking, "aren't all half line drills the same?". Of course the answer is -- not everyones drill is the same. You may have a certain coaching point or reason behind what you do that another coach may not have thought of and vice-versa.
I think this could be a good idea and something fun that could benefit all option coaches. If you have any ideas that could make this project better or you would like to contribute please PM me or post it.

I am in. I think this is a great idea. Not only a way to learn about other drills, but also a great way for us to think about why we do the drill we do. I am a RB coach.

I'm a rookie with the option and most all of our drills come from coachveer, but I'll help as much as I can. Maybe give the new option coach's perspective as to how the drills go and if we come up with any on our own contribute them.
