Looking for thoughts and concepts for spread read with outside screen automatics. IE Read the backside OLB or Saftey,
if he sneaks close to the Box throw the WR screen,
if he widens out to cover the screen option or read to him
Comments or Ideas thanks

If the OLB does not cover down on #2, we made a BLUE call and threw the bubble screen.
Else, we would run our play. There were other considerations as to which side we ran the read. We would read any run play (except the jet, but I bet we could have read it too), but where we ran depended on the front. If we ever tagged our play with "option," #2 would become the pitch man on the read side.

Great topic for Sunday night talk. We ran a similar play tagged as an IZ/Bubble check-off with QB making the read and going with the choice he made. OL & RB ran IZ (say to the right) and #! and #2 receivers ran Bubble regardless. Only QB knew at the snap which play would be run.

We generally give our QB the freedom to check to a bubble screen any time he feels that we have the defense out flanked (OLB or SS creepin in)
