I am looking for rules for tight end blocking outside veer. Versus a 9 or 7 technique (outside shade) what about an outside release or arc release to the force player. Also, any rules for wide receiver cracking the force - pitch player. What about a 6 or head up shade? Thanks

A 9 is outside of te to us and we would read him. A 7 tech. T and Te double,6double,5 te punch and go to backer. We dont really have a rule for cracking with se ,we use it as a change up. I like it against a 43 c2,instead trying to block the corner in your face just send him to safety and the hb blocks corner

Hi Coach, Our TE's base rule is PLSD LB. We would like him to inside release every time. However, he's never good enough to wash down a 7 tech so we will Arc him to LB vs a 7. We have on occasion Arc'ed him to the pitch key as a way of getting the QB to keep the ball. Anytime we call crack in the huddle on option plays the QB knows that the Corner becomes the pitch key. When we call crack on no option plays the RB know that the Corner becomes the unblocked defender. Its the backs job to make the Corner miss.

I am looking to run the outside veer from 2 back gun from a TE set. My main question is-if I can't get a double with the TE/T - 3tech-9tech - we are reading the 9 and attacking the 3 with a double team- if TE arc releases to outside does he release to CB and we cross crack with the WR? does this sound right

An inside shade on or TE always gives our OV problems. Usually we will feed them some fly sweep to try and widen the end. If we do have to run OV to the inside shade the TE would outside release but still look inside before climbing to saftey.
In this instance there is usually and inside shade on the tackle as well so he can solo block him. this should leave the playside LB for the TE.
We have a sceme where the TE Arc's but we never use it or practice it.

kr & bk are you both talking about the same thing ? kr is using gun veer. Are you discussing gun veer, too?

I was only thinking of the blocking up front. But as of right now we only run OV from flex bone formations.
